MFF is a project dedicated to knowledge, innovation, and critical thinking. Based in Maputo, it connects local, regional, and international communities through art, research, and creative exchange.
Through its three pillars—Radar, Festival, and Academy—MFF explores contemporary and future imaginaries in multiple fields, from visual arts and design to innovation, urban culture, and critical thinking. By fostering unconventional perspectives and pioneering approaches, it creates a dynamic ecosystem of knowledge, dialogue, and cultural experimentation in Mozambique and the region.
The Maputo Fast Forward Festival is Mozambique’s official biennial festival of arts, innovation, and critical thinking. It has become a cultural reference point in the city of Maputo and across the country, bringing together local and international artists, intellectuals, and creators.
The MFF Academy is our center for knowledge and innovation, promoting a regional ecosystem of creativity and intercultural dialogue. It conducts research, residencies, workshops, and innovative training via Digital Hub, in collaboration with universities, thinkers, and local and regional artists.
